Fitness Fraud

Don’t Be Fooled By Before & After Claims. Here’s What to Look For:

You gotta love those before and after photos on fitness websites. You know the ones I’m talking about. You see a picture of a misshapen man or woman with pale skin and a really sad look on their face.

Then you see them in an “after” photo with a smiling face and svelte body. You need to do a double take to make sure it’s them and you are able to confirm.

So what’s the problem? Well, let me tell you want the problem is. These pictures are quite often “doctored” so to speak.

I’m not saying they are all 100% fraudulent, but don’t be naive. By making a few alterations, you can make someone go from pathetic to aesthetic in a matter of minutes.

For example, let’s take a male into consideration. In the first picture he can be instructed to stand with his stomach distended, shoulders slouched forward and a bad look on his face. Mind you, he’ll be shirtless and his body hair will be in full bloom.

Then he’ll shave his body hair, put on sunless tanning lotion and do a quick 3 sets of 10 of push-ups. After which, he’ll be standing in good lighting, he’ll be contracting his muscles and his shoulders will be pulled back.

Now he’s smiling and happy, and looks like the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Simply put, a totally different person!

Shockingly, he didn’t get this way by following the “get results in 30 days or your money back” routine. It actually only took about 30 minutes! Wow, now that’s fast results.

Ugh… the bottom line is this. There really are legit fitness pros out there. But just make sure you don’t get fooled with madness.

One thing I always bring to the table is authenticity. I won’t lie, cheat and steal to get to the top. I’ll sooner sleep outside in a pile of leaves then send my integrity down the river.

I’m not a fitness hack and I’m not a self-proclaimed expert. I actually have a degree, a background and metric tons of field experience.

And I’m not going to insert my credentials right here to validate who I am either because A) you can find them in my bio and B) I think some people who do that act like elitists.

Are You Up to the Challenge?

They think they are the bees knees because of their accomplishments and the list of acronyms past their name is a mile long. AND, they always have to rattle them off so you know just how valuable they are. Zzzzzzzz…. I don’t play in that sandbox hombre!

I know just as many pHDs who are asshats as Johnny football stars that think they know everything about fitness and nutrition.

And just for the record, I do all of my own writing. I’ve been asked many many times to write articles and copy for other fitness pros.

One of their “representatives” would contact me and ask if I’d write all these articles as a ghost writer.

Sometimes it is just a hack who’s creating a fitness site and acts as the expert. As insulting and sad as that sounds, it’s reality my friend.

Sadly, they are only willing to pay a few bucks for your services while they generate thousands of followers based on your hard work and make bank on their products.

This may sound irrelevant to you personally, but I just want you to know the “insanity” that goes on behind the scenes. It’s not pretty.

Well, I think it’s time for me to wrap up. I need a movement break. I just want you to know that you’re in good hands when I walk into the room or appear on your computer or phone. You WILL feel an emotional connection and you WILL feel welcome because I am all about unity. 👍🏻

Until next time Challengers, my name is K/Rail. I tell it like it is, and say it like I see it.
